Sign Painter

Hello!  My name is Asako Otaki and I’m the sign painter at Betty Good Signs based in Los Angeles, California.  I was born and raised in Yamagata Japan, and my whole adult life I’ve lived in Los Angeles.  In 2015 I started my career as a sign painter by first taking a sign graphics class at LATTC, where they teach the traditional way of sign painting and how to create the most effective signs for local businesses.  Since then I have continued working on my painting skills to incorporate my style into my work to make it stand out.   I’m always trying to evolve by doing my best on each project I get, whether it’s small or big, simple or intricate.  Things I paint are usually wood signs, window signs and wall signs but not limited.  Any hard surface can be painted!  I’m very passionate to do custom signs with my own designs but I also love painting commercial signs with simple letters and provided designs / logos.
